Bachchan said, "Ladies and gentlemen, Nana Patekar ji passed away suddenly this morning.
An unmatched artist, a friend, a well-wisher, and an outstanding social worker is no longer with us.He was not just a great loss to the Indian film industry, but also a personal loss for everyone who knew him.His sudden passing has left all of us shocked. His fearlessness, his simplicity, and his courage to speak the truth — these made him different from others."
He added, "Some people leave our lives, but their voice, their kindness, and the lessons they teach stay with us.
Nana was one of those rare people.Nana, I offer you my personal respect. And I honor the art you lived with honesty and gave fully to all of us."

That memorable evening will stay with us.His words touched and inspired us, and the cause he chose for his prize money showed how committed he was to helping others. In Maharashtra's villages that were hit by drought, he connected with farmers and personally supported them."
