Toxic’s English release turns EMBARRASSING: Only 450 tickets sold across India; collects a paltry Rs. 1.40 lakhs

Source was one of the first to report yesterday that the English version of Toxic will be released in Indian cinemas on September 4.The original Kannada version, along with dubbed Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam versions, had already been shown in cinemas on August 26.The film received a lot of negative feedback, and it also faced strong competition from Hanuman Ansh and Mirzapur The Movie.Because of this, the English version of Toxic was shown in only 11 screenings, and only in four cities — Mumbai, Bengaluru, Gurugram, and Noida.

The English release of Toxic has been a big disappointment, with only about 450 tickets sold across India, earning around Rs.
1.40 lakhs. The highest number of tickets were sold in Mumbai and Bengaluru, but less than 25 tickets were sold in Gurugram and Noida. With such poor response and outright rejection, the film's showings are likely to decrease further on Saturday, September 5, and Sunday, September 6.At this rate, the total earnings of the English version may not even reach the Rs.10 lakh mark.

The total collection of Toxic across all languages on September 4 is approximately Rs.
1.50-1.60 crores. The Kannada version contributed about Rs.75-80 lakhs, while the Hindi version brought in around Rs.70-75 lakhs, according to early estimates. The extended first-week earnings of the Hindi version are at Rs.130.09 crores. There was a big drop from Thursday, September 3, to Friday, September 4, as the Hindi version earned Rs.2.54 crores on Thursday. Now, it remains to be seen whether the Hindi version of Toxic will be able to cross the Rs.150 crore mark.
