Actor Sooraj Pancholi talked about the new interest in his name because of a case involving the death of celebrity manager Disha Salian.He said he never met Salian or Shiv Sena leader Aaditya Thackeray and is ready to help with the investigation if needed.
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) started a case on September 14 about Salian’s death in June 2020.
The Bombay High Court told the CBI to look into the situation.This has brought several names connected to the case back into the spotlight.However, the High Court wanted the CBI to start the probe without naming anyone as a suspect at that time.
According to a lawyer representing Salian’s father, the FIR includes names like Sooraj Pancholi, Aaditya Thackeray, Rhea Chakraborty, and Dino Morea.
But being named in an FIR doesn’t mean someone is guilty.The investigation is still going on.
Sooraj Pancholi posted a detailed message on social media on September 14 to clear up any confusion.
He said his name has been linked to the case in the media and from others, even though he has no connection with Salian.He said he has never met her, directly or indirectly, and has also never met Aaditya Thackeray.
He said it’s unfair that his name is still being connected to the case and that there’s no proof linking him to it.
He added that it’s very upsetting to see his name involved in something he has nothing to do with.
Pancholi also mentioned that he was questioned by the CBI and police a few years ago, and his statement was recorded.
He said he has nothing to hide and is ready to help again if needed.
The CBI’s new investigation was ordered by the Bombay High Court after its September 2 decision to look into Salian’s death.
The court wants all aspects of her death to be covered.
Pancholi also talked about how media and social media can influence people’s views.
He urged people to carefully check information before believing it.He said that headlines and online debates shouldn’t be taken as facts.

Please check things before making a judgment about someone's life or character," Pancholi said.
The actor ended his message by saying he believes in the legal system and the investigators.
