Karan Johar-Shanaya Kapoor’s Student Of The Year 3 gets a BOLD makeover; web series to be a Class-meets-Euphoria youth drama

After making a strong impression in "Tu Yaa Main" (2026), Shanaya Kapoor will next be seen in "Student Of The Year 3." Bollywood Hungama has shared some exciting updates about this upcoming project, which is supported by Karan Johar's Dharmatic Entertainment.

A source told Bollywood Hungama, "To start with, while the first two parts of "Student Of The Year" were films, the third part will be a web series.

The first two were fun and light-hearted, but "Student Of The Year 3" is completely different."

The source added, "Student Of The Year 3 is darker, edgier, and more intense than the first two.

It is being planned as a mix of "Class" and "Euphoria"—combining the world of privileged, high-pressure students, complex friendships and relationships from Netflix's "Class," with the bold, provocative and emotionally intense style of "Euphoria." Viewers will be surprised by the conflicts, relationships, and overall tone of this third part.This kind of youth-driven, edgy content has a wide audience and could increase its popularity both locally and globally."

The source also mentioned, "Student Of The Year 3 is expected to come out this year on JioHotstar." There were earlier reports that the title might be "Student Of The Year 3 – After The Dark," but the source said this may or may not be the final name.

The official announcement will confirm the exact title.

According to reports, Shanaya Kapoor will be playing two roles.The first part introduced Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt, and Sidharth Malhotra and was directed by Karan Johar."Student Of The Year 2" starred Tiger Shroff and launched Ananya Panday and Tara Sutaria, directed by Punit Malhotra.Alia appeared in a song in the second part.
