Juhi Chawla may not be as often seen in movies as she used to be, but she has been creating a big business empire outside of Bollywood. The M3M Hurun India Rich List 2025 shows that she has a wealth of Rs.7,790 crore, making her the richest actress in India on the list.
Juhi is sixth on the list of India’s top self-made women, joining some of the country’s biggest business leaders and entrepreneurs.
A big part of her wealth comes from her long time business partnership with her husband, Jay Mehta, and also from her work with her longtime friend and co-star, Shah Rukh Khan.
Juhi and SRK started a company called Red Chillies Entertainment, and they also work together on the Knight Riders sports team.
Shah Rukh Khan is also on the Hurun list with a wealth of Rs.12,490 crore, making him the richest person from the Indian entertainment industry.
What makes Juhi’s story special is that she built her wealth mostly through business, not just acting.
Even though she still does some movie roles and streaming projects like Gulaab Gang, Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga, Sharmaji Namkeen and Friday Night Plan, her business side has grown a lot.
Looking at the list of India’s wealthiest self-made women, Juhi stands out.
Jayshree Ullal of Arista Networks is the richest with Rs.50,170 crore, followed by Radha Vembu of Zoho with Rs.46,580 crore, Falguni Nayar and family with Rs.39,810 crore, and Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw with Rs.29,330 crore.Juhi is right after Ruchi Kalra and family, who have Rs.9,130 crore.
For an actress who was a big star in Hindi movies in the 1990s, Juhi’s position shows how she has moved far beyond acting.
Her Bollywood fame made her well-known, but her business ventures have helped her create a fortune that places her among the country’s richest women.
