Cocktail 2 made Rs.1.77 crores on Tuesday, which is Day 12, showing a small increase compared to its second Monday earnings of Rs.1.63 crores. However, this growth should be looked at carefully, since Tuesdays often benefit from BOGO offers and cheaper ticket prices. With these numbers, the film’s total earnings after 12 days are Rs.83.58 crores, and now the big question is whether it can reach the Rs.100 crore mark.
The film started its box office journey strongly, earning Rs.13.10 crores on its first day.It then made Rs.16.40 crores on Saturday and Rs.17.26 crores on Sunday, bringing its opening weekend total to Rs.46.76 crores.
In its second weekend, Cocktail 2 collected Rs.3.58 crores on Friday, Rs.4.36 crores on Saturday, and Rs.4.43 crores on Sunday. The second weekend total was Rs.12.37 crores.Although this number is decent, the drop from the first weekend is quite big.The first weekend made Rs.46.76 crores, meaning the second weekend only kept about 26% of that.
Based on the current trend, Cocktail 2 is expected to earn around Rs.2.65-2.90 crores on Wednesday and Thursday. This would bring its second week total to about Rs.18.40-18.70 crores, and its overall total after two weeks to approximately Rs.86.20-86.50 crores.
Going forward, reaching the Rs.100 crore mark is possible but not easy. The film would need another Rs.13.50-13.80 crores after the second week to hit the century mark.A third week earning between Rs.7-8.50 crores, followed by Rs.4-6 crores in the fourth week, could take the film to the Rs.98-102 crore range.
At this point, the film’s lifetime collection is expected to settle around the Rs.100 crore mark.If it keeps up decently in the third weekend and continues to show well after that, it should enter the Rs.100 crore club.
For now, Cocktail 2 is likely to end its run with lifetime collections between Rs.
98 crores and Rs.102 crores.
