A few days are left until the Ramayana trailer is released, and people are really excited.Today, the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) gave the green light to the trailer.
The Ramayana trailer got a 'U' certificate from the CBFC and is approved for release. The 4-minute-15-second promo has been cleared by the board.
The CBFC approved the Ramayana trailer today, July 15, with a 'U' certificate. Since the film is more than three months away from its release, many people expected it to be a short promo, maybe less than 2.5 minutes or 3 minutes. But that's not true. The trailer actually runs for 4 minutes and 15 seconds.
The CBFC website shows two entries for the Ramayana trailer. One is called 'Trailer - Ramayana 3D', and the other is called 'Theatrical Trailer - Ramayana 3D'.The first one is 4 minutes and 15 seconds long, and the second one is 4 minutes. It's still unclear which one will be released online first.
This will be the third piece of content that the makers of Ramayana have released. The first one was unveiled last year on July 3.Earlier this year, on April 2, the makers introduced a teaser called 'Rama' on the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti, focusing on the lead character, Lord Rama, played by Ranbir Kapoor. The 'Rama' teaser was 2 minutes and 38 seconds long and also received a 'U' certificate.
Ramayana stars Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Ravana, Sunny Deol as Lord Hanuman, and Ravie Dubey as Lakshman.
The film is directed by Nitesh Tiwari, known for Dangal (2016), and produced by Namit Malhotra. The music is composed by A R Rahman and Hans Zimmer. It is a two-part saga, with the first part releasing on Diwali 2026, and the second part coming out on Diwali 2027.
