On Monday, source was the first to tell readers about the censorship details of this week's movie, Chand Mera Dil. The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) gave the love story a U/A 16+ certificate on May 8. According to the certificate, the film is 135.36 minutes long, which means it's 2 hours, 15 minutes, and 36 seconds.

It has come to light that the makers have added 11 minutes to the film.
On May 20, they again approached the CBFC to let them know they had added some scenes on their own and wanted those parts checked too. The CBFC then reviewed the longer version and approved the movie.

The list shows that 8 scenes have been added.
Some of these are short, like 9, 16, and 35 seconds. Others are longer, ranging from 1 minute 1 second to 1 minute 34 seconds. One scene in the first half is even 3 minutes and 55 seconds long. Altogether, the added scenes last 10 minutes and 17 seconds.

So now, the new total run time of Chand Mera Dil is 145.53 minutes, which is 2 hours, 25 minutes, and 53 seconds.

The movie stars Lakshya and Ananya Panday in the lead roles.
It's directed by Vivek Soni, who also directed Meenakshi Sundareshwar (2021) and Aap Jaisa Koi (2025). The film is produced by Hiroo Yash Johar, Karan Johar, Adar Poonawalla, Apoorva Mehta, Somen Mishra, and Marijke deSouza.

On Saturday, May 16, source revealed that on the day of the movie's release, May 22, tickets for all shows before 5:00 pm will cost just Rs. 149.
After 5:00 pm, the price goes up to Rs. 199.

Meanwhile, advance bookings for Chand Mera Dil have not started in some Mumbai cinemas like Miraj Goregaon, Ajanta Borivali, Bahar Vile Parle, K T Vision Vasai, PVR Le Reve Bandra, and Maxus Kandivali.
Advance bookings began at 4:30 pm on Thursday in theatres like Mukta Jai Hind Lalbaug, MovieTime Star City, MovieTime Suburbia, and Gold Dadar.

An exhibitor said, "The Dharma team has been very reasonable and hasn't asked for too many shows.
However, the Marathi film Deool Band 2 has come as a surprise and is doing better than expected. In some areas, the Marathi movie has more demand. Also, the new runtime of Chand Mera Dil forced programmers to rework their show schedules. But in a few hours, all cinemas will open their bookings."
