Box Office Estimate Day 2: Bhooth Bangla jumps by 50 per cent; Akshay Kumar starrer collects Rs. 21 crores on Saturday

Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan are back with a big surprise, as their new horror comedy, Bhooth Bangla, is expected to become a huge hit. The movie opened with Rs. 13.50 crores on Friday, in addition to Rs. 3.50 crores from paid previews. On day two, it showed a strong increase in earnings. Early estimates suggest Bhooth Bangla might collect around Rs. 20.50 crores to Rs. 21.50 crores on Saturday, making the total collection for two days reach Rs. 38 crores.

The film is doing well and is likely to make around Rs. 60 crores in its opening weekend.

 Since it's a family-friendly horror comedy, there's expected to be a big jump in earnings on Sunday, especially in regions like Gujarat, CP, CI, and Rajasthan. On Saturday, urban areas saw big jumps, between 55 to 65 per cent, while the mass markets had a more moderate increase, around 40 to 45 per cent.

The movie was made with controlled costs, so the opening weekend numbers will largely show if it's a success.

 The performance on Monday will help determine how big a hit it can be.
