Rani Mukerji exits Oh My Goddess after creative differences with Amit Rai; here’s what happened behind the scenes

Rani Mukerji and Akshay Kumar were planning to work together on the movie *Oh My Goddess*, which is directed by Amit Rai. Akshay confirmed the film by sending a message to Rani on the release of *Mardaani 3*, calling her the "Goddess" in his post. He said, "Go watch the goddess of acting in her most powerful avatar. I saw it, I loved it. Don't miss it," which indirectly announced the film. Earlier, a PR website suggested that Rani was never signed for the project.

However, after digging deeper, we found out that Rani was indeed confirmed to star in *Oh My Goddess* with Akshay Kumar and Amit Rai.

 According to a reliable source, Rani started having creative differences with Amit Rai. She had her own ideas about how the story should be told, including changes in post-production. Amit, on the other hand, had his own views on how the film should be presented. The two couldn't agree, and this led to some kind of disagreement.

Akshay tried to bring them together, but eventually, he felt that the right vibe was needed for the film, and it was better not to force the casting.

 Rani also had her own concerns, and both actors, as professionals, decided to part ways politely. Rani loved the script but, with a heavy heart, chose to step back. Now, the team is looking for another senior actress to take on the role.
