Dhurandhar scripts HISTORY; Rs. 16 crore paid preview advance signals a RECORD Rs. 100 crore opening weekend advance Box Office

Ranveer Singh is ready to take the top spot as the biggest money-making movie star in Indian cinema, thanks to Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge. The movie is getting ready to make history at the box office. Just 8 days before its release, the film directed by Aditya Dhar is already creating a big buzz with advance ticket sales across the country. As of Monday at 4 PM, Dhurandhar 2 has already sold tickets worth Rs. 16 crore from just the paid previews, which will begin for the audience from 5 PM on March 18.

The tickets are flying off the shelves, with many centers already sold out in advance.
There's a lot of demand for more showtimes. It's very likely that Dhurandhar 2 will sell more than Rs. 30 crore in advance bookings just for the paid previews, which is a huge number for a Hindi movie. The number of showtimes is increasing every day, and by the time the movie is released, it could have 7000 showtimes with a total capacity of Rs. 55 crore.

The full advance booking for the opening weekend is not yet open.
The makers have chosen to first release the paid previews before opening the rest of the weekend sales. If everything goes as planned, Dhurandhar 2 could get advance bookings of Rs. 100 crore just for the opening weekend, which would be a record that would take years to break.

Looking at the major multiplex chains across the country, Dhurandhar 2 has already sold 1.60 lakh tickets in the top three chains - PVRInox and Cinepolis - and that number is expected to double by the time of the release.
It's worth noting that Stree 2 previously held the record for the highest paid preview with a Hindi net of Rs. 9 crore. Dhurandhar 2 has already beaten that record with 8 days still left before the release.

Aditya Dhar is on his way to becoming one of the few directors to make three huge hits in a row, and a lot of the credit for Dhurandhar 2's success goes to his brave and fearless directing style.
