Siddhant Chaturvedi, Alizeh to lead Vikas Bahl’s 1990s-set UK Punjabi music drama: Report

Filmmaker Vikas Bahl is planning a new movie that will be a full musical romance drama. The project, which doesn’t have a title yet, will be starring Siddhant Chaturvedi and Alizeh Agnihotri as the main characters. The movie is being made by Reliance Entertainment.

A report from Variety India says the film is based on the rise of the UK Punjabi underground music scene in the 1990s.
That was a time when music helped people express their identity, especially for those who had moved to the UK from Punjab. This movement mixed traditional Punjabi folk music with Western styles, creating a unique sound that was popular across different groups in the UK.

The film will focus on a love story that deals with themes like ambition, identity, and artistic dreams.
Siddhant is expected to play a drummer, and Alizeh will be a singer. The story will follow their personal and creative journeys during a time that is considered very important for the development of UK Punjabi music.

Bahl, who has worked on movies like Queen, Super 30, and Shaitaan, has finished writing the script and is getting ready for pre-production.
Filming is set to begin in the second half of 2026.

This will be Siddhant’s second movie with Bahl.
Their first is a romantic comedy called Dil Ka Darwaza Khol Na Darling, which is coming out later this year. Siddhant has recently acted in Do Deewane Seher Mein and is set to start work on a biopic about the famous filmmaker V. Shantaram before moving on to this musical.

Alizeh made her acting debut in Farrey, which is a Hindi version of the Thai movie Bad Genius.
This new film will be her second feature film.
