O'Romeo is on track to hit Rs. 50 crores this week.
The film opened with Rs. 9.01 crores on the first day and saw a good increase on Saturday. It was expected that Sunday would be a slower day because Valentine’s Day had already passed on Saturday and there was also a big India vs Pakistan T20 match in the evening. So, as long as the collections stayed similar to Saturday, it would be a decent performance.
As a result, the film collected Rs. 11 crores on Sunday, pushing the weekend total to Rs. 34.51 crores.
Comparing this with Shahid Kapoor's recent films, it has already crossed Rs. 32.07 crores in its lifetime, which is quite quick. Its weekend performance is also better than that of *Teri Baaton Mein Uljha Jiya*, which ended at Rs. 26.52 crores after starting with Rs. 7.02 crores. In fact, these numbers are close to its Week One collections of Rs. 41.97 crores.
That said, this Valentine’s Day 2024 release of Shahid Kapoor has already doubled its Week One score to a lifetime of Rs. 80.88 crores.
That would be the first target for O'Romeo—crossing Rs. 80 crores in total. For that, the film needs to maintain steady collections during the weekdays.
