This drop was expected because Day 1 was Christmas, a holiday that usually brings in more people, while Day 2 was a regular weekday.
This kind of film, which is a romantic comedy aimed at city audiences, usually does better on weekends and in multiplexes. On weekdays, people don't go out as much, so the footfall drops.
Although the drop makes sense, it also shows the film has a tough time keeping its momentum.
Other movies like Dhurandhar and Avatar – Fire And Ash are still drawing big crowds, especially in premium theaters. So, the market is split, and this film is struggling to get attention and show slots in popular theaters.
So far, the film's total for the first two days is expected to be around Rs. 12.25 crores.
Now the real test begins with Saturday and Sunday. If the film doesn't see a strong rise over the next two days, it might be hard to change the perception that it's not doing well. Right now, the trend shows the film needs a good weekend to prove it has staying power, otherwise, it could get even more squeezed in the coming weekdays.
