Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri has started its box office journey in a balanced yet cautious way. Based on early reports, the movie starring Kartik Aaryan is expected to make between Rs. 6.75 crores and Rs. 7.25 crores on its first day.
The film is focused on city life and its appeal is clear from the start.
It falls into the romantic comedy genre, which is not doing as well as before because it's not attracting a large audience unless there's a lot of hype or strong word-of-mouth.
This movie is facing competition from other films like Dhurandhar and Avatar – Fire And Ash, which are performing well.
This has already split the audience and the available movie slots, making it harder for Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri to do well. Also, exhibitors aren't giving many prime showtimes, which reduces the number of valuable screen slots.
For Kartik Aaryan, this opening is lower than some of his earlier films.
Pati Patni Aur Woh opened with Rs. 9.10 crore and Luka Chuppi opened with Rs. 8.01 crore. This is one of his weakest first-day openings in the last six years, making the rest of the weekend very important for its performance.
Comparing to other movies from 2025, Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri is similar to Param Sundari, Son of Sardaar 2, and Bhool Chuk Maaf.
These films also opened in a similar range and depended a lot on audience reactions over the weekend.
The next big test is tomorrow, which is a weekday, so it's important to see how the audience reacts after the initial curiosity.
However, the Christmas and New Year holiday period offers two weekends for the movie to settle in and find its audience, provided the word-of-mouth is positive.
