Ranveer Singh's movie Dhurandhar has been doing really well at the box office in India. Early estimates say that on Thursday, the film made Rs. 30 crore, which brings its total collection for seven days to Rs. 219 crore. This is a big deal because the Thursday earnings are even higher than the first day and the other days of the week.
The film is still going strong and is expected to make even more money on Friday.
It might reach the Rs. 300 crore mark by the end of the second weekend and could go up to Rs. 400 crore by the end of the second week. With the Christmas holiday coming up, Dhurandhar is likely to compete strongly with Avatar and the two holiday movies - Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri and Ikkis.
Dhurandhar has just started its run and is slowly becoming a big event for people to watch together.
It is very rare for a movie to do better on day seven than on day one, especially without a holiday, but Dhurandhar has managed to do that.
There is expected to be a big jump in earnings on Friday, which will create a strong trend for the weekend.
A second weekend earning of Rs. 100 crore seems likely for Dhurandhar.
