Haiwaan, a tight, exciting thriller directed by the famous Priyadarshan, is getting a lot of attention because it brings back two top actors, Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan, to the big screen again after their 2008 film Tashan.
Saif Ali Khan was recently seen arriving in Alibaug, Maharashtra, on a speedboat, which made people guess about his filming schedule for Haiwaan.
A person close to the project has now confirmed that Saif came to Alibaug for a major part of the film.
The person said, “We are shooting a few important parts with Saif in Alibaug.
These scenes are key to developing his character in the movie.”
Haiwaan is produced by KVN Productions along with Thespian Films, and is jointly produced by Venkat K Narayana and Shailaja Fenn.
The film is set to be released in cinemas in 2026.
Ten days ago, Bollywood Hungama reported that an important scene of Haiwaan was shot in Churchgate and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus, both located in South Mumbai.
An article in Mid-Day said that Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan shot a big action scene near Churchgate railway station. It was a chase sequence between the two, involving 30 to 40 cars and 100 junior artists. Filming there went on for five nights and was directed by action choreographer Stunt Silva.
The article quoted Priyadarshan saying, “Both Saif and Akshay understood how the scene should be shot and worked well together, though Akshay is known to go to bed early.”
At that time, the master filmmaker also mentioned that besides South Mumbai, they filmed in Bandra Kurla Complex and that they still had nine more days of work with Saif.
With fast-paced chases, carefully planned scenes, and the reunion of Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan under Priyadarshan’s skilled direction, Haiwaan is already becoming one of the most eagerly awaited movies of 2026.
