Ramayana glimpse sparks Rs 1000 crores surge in Namit Malhotra-led Prime Focus market cap; Ranbir Kapoor to invest Rs 20 crores: Reports

 The total around Ramayana, a two-part adaptation of Nitesh Tiwari's ambitious Indian epic, brings a ripple effect beyond cinemas, boosts the investor atmosphere and increases the company's market value. Though expectations for the project were already high,  the graphic announcements have brought about a new level on both  fans and  stock exchanges. 

Listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), Prime Focus Ltd has raised its share price from Rs 113.47 to Rs 149.69 between June 25th and July 1st following  approval of the preferential issuance of 462.7 million  shares. However, the bustle around the view of Ramayana  gave him even greater thrust. On July 3, the day of the month, Prime Focus share began at Rs 176,  just two days ago, at Rs 149.69. The market capitalization of the company, which weighs 4.638 crore, promoted over 10,000 crore at its climax of Rs 5,641 on July 1. After the closing market, the stock price fell slightly to Rs 169, bringing its market capitalization to around Rs 520 crore. 


In addition to this, he is the main actors of Ramayana, Ranbir Kapoor. According to a business standards report, Ranbir has been allocated 1.25 million shares by Prime Focus. The exact price of the acquisition has not been announced, but its investment is estimated at around Rs 20 billion, although its current market value is based on its current investment. 


Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Ramayana is assembled as one of the most expensive and famous Indian films of all time. The lineup includes Ranbirkapoor as Lord Ram, Yash as Ravana, Saipalavi as Shita, Sunny Deol in Hanuman and Rabidubey as Lakshman. The film features iconic musical cooperation between AR Rahman and Hollywood legend Hans Zimmer,  making his Bollywood debut. 

Ramayana will be released in two parts, part 1 of the 2026 Diwali cinemas and part 2 of 2027.
