Rajpal Yadav BREAKS SILENCE on Baby John’s poor reception; says, “It did not work because it was a remake of Theri”

Baby John, Varun Dhawan's most recent release, was a box office bust, meaning the actor's attempt at mass action was not successful. Produced by Atlee and directed by Kalees, the movie was a remake of the Tamil hit Theri, which starred Thalapathy Vijay. Although Varun has kept quiet about the movie's subpar performance, co-star Rajpal Yadav recently discussed the reasons for its failure and Varun's response. 

Rajpal Yadav Considers the Reaction to the Film

In a Bollywood Bubble interview, Rajpal Yadav shared his thoughts on Baby John's poor performance. He claimed that although the movie was well-made overall, its failure stemmed from the fact that it was a remake of the Tamil movie Theri. The audience had seen it because Vijay had already done it, and that had an impact on the box office. Rajpal went on to say that the film might have been among the best of his 25-year career if it hadn't been a remake.

How Varun Dhawan Accepted the Setback

Rajpal Yadav brushed off rumors that Varun Dhawan was discouraged by the film's reception. "Varun is a very hardworking and sweet boy. Since taking chances is a big deal, Rajpal stated, "He has always tried to do something different, and his attempts must be appreciated."

In addition, Jackie Shroff, Wamiqa Gabbi, and Keerthy Suresh played significant roles in Baby John. Rajpal played Constable Ram Sevak, Varun's character's devoted deputy, DCP Satya Verma. Despite the film's failure, critics gave Rajpal's performance some credit, particularly for his first-ever action sequence.
