Pushpa 2 (Hindi) Box Office: Sees an expected drop on Thursday, almost touches Rs. 800 crores in 4 weeks

 Pushpa 2: The Rules (Hindi) was released on Thursday and completed its four-week run in theatres yesterday. It has grossed almost Rs 80 crore. The film has been a phenomenal success since its release, but as expected, the box office took a dip yesterday as it was the first day after a long holiday. 

However, as Christmas and New Year fell exactly in the middle of the holiday period, many of the viewers took a long break despite it being a weekday, so the revenue did not increase. It will fall to the same level as a normal weekday. This is reflected in the figure of Rs 47 crore, which is still a great figure for a fourth Thursday. 

There were no new releases today either, with Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani being the only notable film and that too was re-released in selected screens and shows. While the film is likely to earn a lot, it will be interesting to see whether the Ranbir Kapoor-Deepika Padukone starrer or Baby John, which is in its second week of release, will rake in more. Meanwhile, Pushpa 2 (Hindi) continues to rake in huge profits and with a current total of Rs 797.7 crore, it is likely to join the Rs 800 crore club today.
