Box Office Estimate: Baby John dips on day 2; collects Rs. 6.50 crores

Varun Dhawan's film Baby John has seen a drop in its collections at the box office on its second day of release. The film has collected between Rs 6-6.5 crore on the second day, taking its total collection to Rs 17.25 crore. The drop is around 45% compared to the first day, which is a worrying sign as the film badly needed to do better and benefit from the festive season.

Friday's gross is at a similar level and an increase is expected on Saturday and Sunday. As per current trends, Baby John will gross around Rs 400 crore over the five-day weekend, with Monday to Wednesday gross deciding the total gross.

Reports are mixed, with competition from the mass market film Pushpa 2 and Mufasa in major cities hurting business, but still, things should have been better as there are enough theatres and audience to watch the film. The remake factor has also impacted the box office performance.

With the holiday season upon us, the box office will see some calm over the next few days, but after that, Baby John's box office collection will be tough.
