The Sabarmati Report fails to find takers on Day 1; opens at Rs. 1.15 crores with bleak prospects ahead

Vikrant Massey's film The Sabarmati Report has performed poorly at the Indian box office. As per initial estimates, the socio-political drama based on a true story could gross between Rs 100 crore and Rs 130 crore on its first day.

The film's opening was below average, but this opening day is not good enough for a feature film due to the increased cost of reshoots. Ekta Kapoor's film needs a miracle weekend to pull off and achieve respectable numbers. Sabarmati Reports expects the film to gross Rs 4.25 crore in the opening weekend before facing a crucial test on Monday.

After 12th Failure, more was expected from Vikrant Massey but it seems the audience was not very interested in seeing this story on the big screen.
