Prithviraj Sukumaran cast opposite Kareena Kapoor in Meghna Gulzar’s next, replacing Ayushmann Khurrana: Report

 According to reports, Malayalam actor Prithviraj Sukumaran has been cast in the upcoming film directed by Meghna Gulzar. He will take the place of Ayushmann Khurrana, who left the project due to scheduling conflicts. It is anticipated that Prithviraj will portray a police officer in the film, which has a tentative title and is based on a real and disturbing incident.


According to an India Today report, Prithviraj was approached after Sidharth Malhotra and Ayushmann Khurrana both opted out due to scheduling issues. Prithviraj felt a connection to the script and the potent message it carried. The character of Kareena will portray her in a new light, blending strength, vulnerability, and intuition,” the source told the portal. His role is crucial to driving the narrative.

Why Ayushmann Khurrana Left Daayra? Ayushmann Khurrana left Daayra because he had other commitments, like a big music tour of major U.S. cities and upcoming projects with Karan Johar, Guneet Monga Kapoor, and Maddock Films like Border 2 and others. Ayushmann decided not to pursue Daayra because their dates overlapped, leaving Prithviraj free to step in.
