Jigra filmmaker Vasan Bala ‘did not want’ Karan Johar to send the script draft to Alia Bhatt and this was the reason!

The trailer for Jigra has received a lot of attention because it is one of Alia Bhatt's most anticipated films and features the actress in a strong, action-packed role. In addition, audiences are eager to see the sibling bond between the actress and Vedang Raina, a newcomer, on the big screen. But were you aware? There was a reason why filmmaker Vasan Bala did not want the script sent to Alia. He thought that the actress's first draft wasn't good enough.

Readers are aware that, just a few days before the film's release, the entire team, including producer Karan Johar, is busy promoting the action comedy. Vasan Bala opened up about how everything came together during an interview with Tried & Refused Productions, where the actors, director, and producer talked about the movie. The filmmaker recalled the beginning of this journey and revealed that he had sent a rough draft to Karan Johar because the latter was interested in working with him after Monica O My Darling. However, Bala maintained that he was unaware that KJo would forward the draft to Alia Bhatt.

According to Vasan's confession, "I had written a very kachha pakka email, stream of consciousness thoughts... sent it to Karan and 6-7 hours later, he called saying that I have already sent it to Alia and I was really not happy with it." Vasan also admitted that he had sent the email to Alia. Before sending it to the actress, the filmmaker thought he should have at least made some minor adjustments. That email was sent, and I asked Karan, "Why did you do this?" I was like, "I would have at least done some spell check, grammar check, and hygiene, and written some very nice hero entry." He responded, "No, this is not how it works." Then he said, "We'll meet in a few days," he continued.

Jigra, which marks the theatrical debut of Vedang Raina, stars Alia Bhatt as a fierce and protective sister who would do anything to save her brother from incarceration. The movie is expected to come out on October 11th.
