Dull weekend for new releases as Do Aur Do Pyaar leads, Love Sex Aur Dhokha 2 crashes

It was an exceptionally low end of the week for Bollywood as the consolidated assortments of new deliveries came to simply around Rs. four crores Do Aur Do Pyaar and Love Sex Aur Dhokha 2 came together, and the industry would have suffered greatly if the first film hadn't been made.

 Do Aur Do Pyaar had good reviews and better footfalls, which did grow on Saturday, despite Sunday being flat once more. Consequently, the weekend cost Rs. 3.43 crores*. The hope is that the urban romcom will continue to develop from this point on because the film was always intended to be a word-of-mouth affair. It would be extreme however at that point today would be the game changer.

For Affection Sex Aur Dhokha 2, it was even more troublesome as the end of the week has come to simple Rs. 50 lakhs*. This is definitely not the kind of number that Ekta Kapoor and Dibakar Banerjee would have wanted, but given that audiences already have expectations about the kind of content in the offering, it's not all that surprising. However, one would have expected the numbers to improve on a daily basis over the weekend, despite the content's shock value and the niche treatment.
