The Bandra Metropolitan Court on Friday requested the city police to enlist a FIR against entertainer Kangana Ranaut after the creator of Didda: The hero Queen of Kashmir blamed her for copyright infringement.
Ashish Kaul, the creator of Didda: The Warrior Queen of Kashmir has blamed Ranaut for copyright encroachment. The book has been converted into Hindi as Kashmir Ki Yoddha Rani Didda. Kaul supposedly said that he has the selective copyrights to the biography of Didda who was the Princess of Lohar(Poonch), presently in Jammu and Kashmir, and the Queen of Kashmir.
According to the grumbling by Kaul, he had sent an email about the storyline of his book Kangana and she utilized some piece of the story in a tweet while reporting her film without his consent. "Is it acceptable by any inspire bigger thoughts that a story and a book are being usurped by an eminent entertainer turned-social extremist?" he said.
Supposedly, the FIR was enlisted under IPC segments 405 (criminal penetrate of trust), 415 (cheating), 120 B (criminal scheme) and furthermore under the Copyright Act against the entertainer.
Aside from this Kangana is as of now confronting four different bodies of evidence against her in the city including a slander suit recorded by Javed Akhtar.
