Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu earns Rs 21.25 crs at Box Office in 1st weekend
Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu, which opened to a miserable response on Friday, has shown plenty growth at the Box Office in India on the next days. The Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu movie has grossed approximately Rs 21.25 crores nett at the collection centers in the first weekend but these figures are not up to the likely mark.
Imran Khan and Kareena Kapoor starrer received a good reaction at multiplexes in big cities, but registered poor tenancy at single screens across the country on the first day. Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu finished the day with box office collection of Rs 5.25 crores nett at the Box Office on Friday.
But the movie registered 50% growth in collection by grossing Rs 7.5 crores nett at the Box Office on Saturday and even further on Sunday. The Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu film added another Rs 8.5 crores nett to its first weekend total - Rs 21.25 crores nett at the collection centres.
Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu is the second movie of Karan Johar's Dharma Productions in 2012. His first film in 2012, Agneepath had crossed 75 crore mark in the first weekend. Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu was expected to break that record. Regardless of having big star cast, enormous promotion and positive reviews from critics, the movie unsuccessful to cross the first collection of Agneepath - 23 crore nett.
