Sushant Singh Rajput Case: Dia Mirza calls for public apology by the media to Rhea Chakraborty after CBI clears her

Actress Dia Mirza spoke to support Leah Chakraborty and asked the media to give a public apology after the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) ruled out bad games in the Sushi Singh Rajput incident.

Dia Mirza responded to the latest developments and criticised the role of media in Rhea's deflection throughout the investigation. In an Instagram post, she explained: Who has grace in the media apologizing for writing Rhea Chakraborty and her family? You went on a witch hunt. They caused deep fear and harassment only towards TRP. I apologize. It can minimize what you can do.

Her lawyer, Satish Manesinde, also commented on the media process she was exposed to. He described the merciless harassment they faced, further explaining that she suffered from inhumane medical treatment. He also showed that the family had considered considerable pressure and threat during the exam, but remained determined to remove their names. Manshinte also criticized the spread of misinformation during the pandemic. This shows that the media is focused on incidents driven by public demand for sensational news.

The final report filed by the CBI stated that there was no evidence of misconduct by Rhea or her brother Showik or her family. The incident that attracted the attention of the public has come from the tragic death of Sushi Singh Rajput in a Mumbai settlement in June 2020.

If the case is formally closed, public personalities like Dear Mirza will recognize their role in the release of unfounded allegations and ask the media to expand their apology.
