Filmmaker AR Murgados recently opened up a challenging Rotary process for his upcoming film Sikandar with Salman Khan. The threat of murder against Bollywood superstars exposed production to intensive security measures, contributing to the complexity of filming.
Murgados shared this experience and shared Salmansa very differently. The Sikandar scale is large, with a scene where 10,000 to 20,000 people often involved in the set. Managing such a large crowd required high security and intensive coordination. Our schedule was demanding and the imminent threat made it even busier.
The director also revealed that security protocols had increased significantly after the threat. Post that security has been enhanced and checking all the additional artists on the set lasts for 2-3 hours a day. Their entries and output consumed most of the time, and often delayed filming until early in the morning. Our biological cycle was hampered, but once we adapted it became routine. Despite the challenges, the set stopped very positive energy, he added. Salman Khan endured constant security threats, which led to increased protections around him. On November 5, 2024,
Mumbai police received an imminent message allegedly requested by Lawrence Bishnoy's gang and asked Khan to allow her community stamp or pay Rs. 5 trillion for his safety. Non-compliance warned the news of his assassination. Things continued to escalate in April 2024 when two attackers opened a fire in front of Khan in Bandra West. Authorities have actively investigated these threats to ensure the safety of the actors. Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, Sikandar is one of the most anticipated films of the year. In addition to Salman Khan, Rasmika Mandanna, Kajal Agarwal and Pratek Babubal Patil from the film showcased in central roles. The action drama with high octane will be released on March 30th, 2025.
