Earlier in the morning, Yash and the makers of Toxic confirmed that the film, which is a fairy tale for adults, will be released as planned in March 2026, right around the time of Eid 2026.
But things took an unexpected turn when news spread that Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s upcoming film, Love And War, is likely to miss its original deadline. This means the film will not clash with Toxic on Eid 2026.
A reliable source told Bollywood Hungama, “It’s a blessing in disguise because it didn’t make sense for two big films like Love And War and Toxic to release on the same date.
Love And War is behind schedule, and will now release in the second half of 2026. Around 75 days of filming still remain, and Sanjay Leela Bhansali has asked Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal to set aside most of their time till Summer 2026 to finish the film.”
Love And War is definitely missing its Eid 2026 release date.
“The film is about 40 days behind schedule, and the earliest it can now be released is in June 2026. Ranbir Kapoor and Sanjay Leela Bhansali will decide on the final release date soon and officially announce the delay.”
This delay also avoids an off-screen clash between Ranbir Kapoor and Yash, who are set to face each other in the film Ramayana.
And contrary to some rumors, it’s Ranbir who is not coming on Eid, while Yash is on track to bring his action romance film Toxic in March 2026. “Toxic is on schedule, and the makers are very confident about the film. It’s one of those rare Indian films that will be shot in both Kannada and English.”
